Spearhead Shaving Company - Fleur de France - Shaving Soap
The scent is called Fleur de France - a French Barbershop with geranium, citron, rosemary, coumarin, oakmoss, and white musk.
It’s inspired by the 1968 Seaforth original. The late 60’s was an interesting period of time for the vintage Seaforth brand. For 30 years Seaforth offered a few scents in a dizzying array of products (soaps, creams, powders, bath soap, brushless cream).
But after the success of Sea Spice Lime in 1966 the strategy changed dramatically. Seaforth focused less on new products and doubled down on scent development.
The best example is the Four Nations Collection - a gift set launched for the 1968 holiday season. Four Nations was a set of four small bottles of aftershave. Heather anchored the collection, but the remaining three scents were brand new. One of those was Fleur de France.
Here is a description from Shawn Maher, developer of the scent:
In rethinking the classic French barbershop scent through a modern lens, Fleur de France takes a classic set of notes and restructures each one while omitting some of the more powdery elements that can make it feed dated. It opens with a citron and rosemary duo, giving way to an airy, fruity jasmine that gives levity to the citron, while the cool, lemony spice of geranium adds a sparkle. It's all grounded by a classic combination of lavender, tonka bean, oakmoss and musk that evokes memories without getting stuck in the past.
