Phoenix and Beau Shave Soap -Sanskrit - Imported From the U.K.
What does it smell of? Sanskrit is a subtle and complex oriental spice scent that evolves as you build your lather and shave with each pass. It offers a rich, spicy and warming experience. The top notes are a blend of citrus oils which include lemongrass, mandarin, lime, litsea cubeba (a lemon like citrus scent) and orange. Warmth and spice follow on in the middle notes and include clove bud, cardamom, black pepper and the light touch of geranium. The base notes were chosen to give the scent some "bottom" and include, patchouli, benzoin (a warm vanilla type scent) and sandalwood.
How strong is your scent? We wanted to err on the side of caution and reduce the risk of skin sensitisation and as a consequence we would say that (to us) our scents are light to medium in strength. Sanskrit is made up of twelve (12) different essential oils and both sandalwood and mandarin are the joint dominant notes. As a suggestion if you'd like to boost your scent strength why not add a few drops of either essential oil to your lather? N.B. if you choose to do this please be certain to test the lather for sensitisation prior to application of the area to be shaved.
