Year of the Tiger Shave Soap is a bold artisan shaving soap inspired by the legendary Nasomatto Black Afgano fragrance. Dark, complex, and atmospheric, it delivers a rich aromatic experience designed for shavers who appreciate depth and intensity in their grooming routine.
According to Chinese Zodiac legend, the mighty Tiger of the Year—Hǔ nián—once guarded the boundary between the mortal world and the realm of storms. When a lightning bolt threatened a traveler’s life, the Tiger leapt from the shadows and split the bolt in two with a glowing claw. The strike transformed his talon into a brilliant red hue, which he later gifted to humanity through the roots of the Madder plant.
The fragrance captures this mythic strength. It opens with striking green cannabis freshness layered with aromatic spice and saffron warmth. As the lather develops, darker notes of resins, tobacco, and coffee emerge while subtle florals and fruit nuances add complexity. The base settles into oud, incense, amber, and woods, leaving a smoky and resinous finish that feels powerful, mysterious, and long lasting.
Directions for Use
