The Greencult GC 2.0 Double Edge Safety Razor is a precision CNC-milled stainless steel razor made in Austria. Designed as the premium successor to the Greencult GC 1.1 Allrounder, the GC 2.0 introduces a shorter handle, redesigned construction, interchangeable base plates, hidden blade ends, and a glass bead blasted finish.
This complete razor includes the Level II base plate, featuring a 0.65mm blade gap and 0.10mm blade exposure. Greencult positions Level II for both beginners and experienced wet shavers seeking a straightforward daily shave with greater efficiency than the Level I plate.

Why It’s Special
The GC 2.0 is CNC-milled from 303 stainless steel rather than relying on a chrome-plated surface over a different base material. Greencult sources the stainless steel from Europe and manufactures the razor in its family business in Götzis, Vorarlberg, Austria.
The redesigned razor head conceals the ends of a standard double edge blade so they do not protrude from the sides of the head. The GC 2.0 also uses interchangeable base plates, allowing the razor's shaving characteristics to be changed by purchasing additional plates separately.
Level II Base Plate Included
The complete GC 2.0 razor includes ONLY the Level II base plate. Greencult describes Level II as suitable for beginners and advanced wet shavers and appropriate for daily shaving. It provides a more thorough shave than Level I while offering slightly less blade feel than Level III.

GC 2.0 Base Plate System
Four base plate levels are available for the GC 2.0 system. This razor includes Level II only. Levels I, III, and IV are available separately.
- Level I: 0.45mm gap / 0.05mm exposure – Greencult's gentlest option, designed for beginners and daily shaving.
- Level II: 0.65mm gap / 0.10mm exposure – Suitable for beginners and advanced shavers, with increased efficiency over Level I.
- Level III: 0.85mm gap / 0.15mm exposure – A more direct option for advanced shavers and approximately three days of beard growth.
- Level IV: 1.05mm gap / 0.20mm exposure – The most direct option, intended for experienced shavers and approximately three to five days of beard growth.
Glass Bead Blasted Finish
The GC 2.0 receives a glass bead blasted finish designed to create a uniform, velvety surface with a subtle sheen rather than a conventional matte appearance. According to Greencult, the blasting process also compacts the surface and contributes to the razor's tactile feel.
Integrated Scratch Protection
A plastic protective disc is pressed directly into the handle to help prevent scratches where the metal handle meets the razor head. The disc can be removed if preferred without preventing normal use of the M5 threaded connection.
