September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.  A month dedicated to bringing awareness to this often ignored and stigmatized subject.  We hope this project will raise awareness and spark a conversation surrounding the importance of suicide prevention awareness along with mental health and wellness.

Unlike many causes of death, Suicide can be prevented.  We can work together to ease the suffering of those within our reach. Suicide prevention is truly a community effort that requires friends, families, co-workers, and community members to work together.  Our most valuable resource is each-other.

Our message is simple and profound; You are not alone.  If you are thinking about suicide or are concerned about someone else, don’t stay silent.  Help is available 24/7 to talk, answer questions, and assist you in navigating challenging situations.  Help is within reach!

The importance of suicide prevention awareness cannot be overstated, as it's a subject that touches lives in every community, crossing all age groups and demographics. Talking openly about mental health challenges, offering a listening ear, and directing people towards professional help are pivotal steps in making a tangible difference. Oftentimes, individuals in the depths of despair feel isolated and misunderstood; they may believe that no one can possibly understand their struggles. In these darkest moments, the simple act of reaching out, of saying "I'm here for you," can become a lifeline. It's crucial to remember that you don't have to be a mental health expert to lend a hand or an empathetic ear; sometimes, being present and available to talk can be enough to help someone step back and seek professional help. We have chosen the following charities to receive our donations:

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (USA).  The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States.
